What Does Jen Represent?
We are proudly the fastest growing city in Maine and I am honored to be your current Ward 5 City Councilor. I want to be part of the positive, progressive change that this city is seeing and am looking forward to continue serving you.
My beliefs and values are rooted in my belief for human rights.

Safety. I am dedicated to keeping our community safe. I serve as the Vice Chair to our Public Safety Committee on the Council. Everyone deserves to feel safe, and I believe that we can work collaboratively with our growing, diverse Police Department to do this. I am proud of the steps that Westbrook PD has taken to expand their Behavioral Health team and their community policing team.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. This past year I have become involved with One Westbrook, including serving on the planning committee for the Cities inaugural Juneteenth Celebration. Ensuring that our city remains equitable and inclusive for everyone is a top priority for me. I will work with our departments to ensure that we continue to diversify our workforce here in the city and create a welcoming community for everyone.

Growth & Development. Our city is growing rapidly, that's not a surprise to anyone. While we have seen the much needed focus on Downtown and Rock Row, I look forward to working with our planning team and the city administration on the development on Ward 5. We have new housing developments going in, updates to our infrastructure coming and businesses thriving.

Community. Our community is supportive, culturally diverse and bustling. We have some of the best restaurants, breweries and entertainment around. We also have incredible sports facilities and community development happening to expand and enrich other facilities. I've been lucky to help coach my daughter's softball team, volunteer with her school and attend many community events and meetings. I'll continue to serve and be present for our community for many years to come. I've also spent the past 10 years volunteering in the Portland area with the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association on their walk committee.

Schools. I am the parent of a 2nd grader (and have more kids to come through our school system) and a member of the Congin PTO. I believe in collaboration, open communication and accountability. Our school leadership and elected officials are dedicated to our students and I will continue to work with them and build positive relationships. I care about our students and our schools and the success of our educational program here in Westbrook. I will be a partner in their success. Our students are our future and our schools are a key to a successful city.

Trails & Climate. I fully support the city exploring more sustainable and energy efficient utilities and transportation. We need to be mindful of our climate as we grow our community and ensure that we are leaving a rich environment for the future generations. This means preserving our green and open space, our walking and snowmobile trails. Westbrook has a rich history with our waterways and trails and that needs to be protected as we grow.

Finally, as stated when I was appointed...
I believe in science.
Abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a human right.
Love is love and love always wins.
And Black Lives Matter.

I stand firmly with human rights and will continue to support each and every one of you and your right to privacy, access to safe and affordable healthcare and the right to your family and relationships. We are in this together.
